How Physical Activity Helps Children Grow Strong and Healthy

All children require regular exercise. It supports children to develop to be strong, healthy, active and happy. Children spend too much time in front of a screen in this day and age, with the vast majority of them watching television, playing video games or using a phone. Due to this, they do not move their bodies sufficiently. I think that children should do physical exercise daily as it promotes health both physically and mentally. Running, jumping and skipping, dancing, football playing or riding a bike are simple activities that can make a kid healthier and stronger.

Children need physical activity to develop healthy bones and muscles, which is one of the benefits. Children's bodies get stronger when they run and play. Exercise keeps the heart healthy and helps it circulate blood more efficiently. It helps children to keep a healthy weight, too. Active kids don't become overweight kids, or sick kids. I've observed that I am stronger and more energetic when I exercise and walk frequently. Exercise also promotes a healthy night's sleep for children, which is crucial for their growth and overall health.

Exercise is also beneficial to the brain. Regular exercise may help children to think better and to concentrate at school. Children's minds are new and active when they are outside playing or involved in sports. Exercise lowers stress and makes children feel happy. A walk or playing outside helps me relax again when I feel tired or worried. This demonstrates that exercise is not just a good thing for the body, it is good for the emotions as well as the mind.

Another positive aspect of physical activity is that children learn life skills in the process! Children learn about teamwork, patience, discipline and respect for others when they play games and sports with others. They also know how to play and lose well. Sports can help shy children become more confident. Children can make friends, enjoy time to be with other people through physical activity. These social skills are extremely crucial as they become older.

Exercise also encourages children to adopt healthy lifestyle habits in the future. When the child enjoys physical activity, it is more likely that he or she will continue to enjoy it as an adult. This can help avoid numerous health issues later in life, including heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. Adopting healthy practices during childhood can be lifelong. I believe that it's important for parents and teachers to promote activity with children on a daily basis rather than sitting in front of them for a long period of time.

It is also important for schools to play their part. In the schools, there should be promotion of the use of physical education lessons, sports competitions, and outdoor games. Children should have sufficient time to play and exercise. Parents can do their part to take children to parks, promote outdoor games, or even walk the walk with the kids. Things as simple as walking together and dancing or playing catch make a difference to a child's health.

In conclusion, physical activity plays a very crucial role in the life of kids because they become strong and healthy by physical activity. It benefits the body, enhances the mind and instils useful life skills. Active kids are happier, healthier and more confident. I feel that all children should be given daily time to move, play and exercise. A healthy child will learn more, live more and have a brighter future.
