POV: Doctor's Reaction After They've Lost The Patient And Intend To Get Their Money 😂💔

The doctor walks in with a somber face, breaks the news with a gentle tone, "I'm sorry, sir/ma'am... we've lost her/him"... and you're all, "nooo😭, this can't be happening" . But then, almost like a switch flipped, they suddenly become all business, shifting gears to discuss the, ahem, "medical expenses" incurred . Haha, it sounds funny, but it's reality.

People get upset when doctors seem insensitive after a loss, calling them wicked or heartless*😔. But let's be real, hospitals have bills to pay too, and the medical staff are just doing their job, dead or alive, the bills don't just disappear .

It's not about being heartless, it's about reality. You've gotta settle the bills, and maybe it's just the messenger getting the blame. Either way, it's a tough spot all around, and empathy goes a long way.

I've had this experience when I lost my aunt some years ago, we did everything to save her life but we couldn't. After her death in the hospital, we were left with 250, 000 naira to complete the remaining medical bills. The doctor cried with us for some seconds, and showed us a paper where we're owing and requested we should pay before leaving the hospital with the corpse.
