Little Learners, Big Progress: Pre-Nursery 2 Rehearsal
Greetings Everyone!
Another rehearsal day, another visit — this time to the Pre-Nursery 2 class at Winners Vineyard Academy. These are our littlest ones, just two to three years old, and I popped in to see how they're coming along with preparations for the closing and graduation day party.
The children were practicing their welcome song, and honestly, it was a joy to watch. At that age, getting the words and rhythm right isn't easy, but they gave it their best shot, and you could tell they were enjoying themselves.
They also worked on three-letter word spellings — cow, eye, man, bus, run, cat, dog, and cap. Some of them picked up the words almost immediately, while others needed a few more tries before it clicked. That's perfectly normal for toddlers just starting out with letters and sounds, so nothing about that was concerning.
What really impressed me was the class teacher. She handled the session with so much patience, gently repeating words, encouraging the children who struggled, and keeping the whole class engaged without ever sounding frustrated.
It takes a special kind of skill to teach toddlers, and she clearly has it.
Was the rehearsal perfect? Not quite. There were the usual distractions you'd expect from two and three-year-olds — wandering attention, a bit of restlessness here and there.
But none of that took away from the bigger picture: these children are learning, growing, and slowly getting ready for their big day.
After watching them today, I'm genuinely confident that with a little more practice and the teacher's continued guidance, the Pre-Nursery 2 class will pull off a wonderful presentation on graduation day. They've come a long way already, and it shows.
