Hello Teaching Team

Hello My Steemain Friends ,

Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S30- W3: which is all time my favourite topic ""Family Bonding Activities" this amazing challenge organised by @ngoenyi

Your family must choose any one from the above listed activities and mention which one you have chosen what it is all about.

The activity I have chosen from the list provided in this table is walking

Navratri—the nine-day festival dedicated to Mother Durga—is currently underway, with her nine distinct forms being worshipped over these nine days. Temples dedicated to the Goddess are bustling with crowds everywhere. It is considered a great privilege to have the opportunity to visit holy sites; thus, during this Navratri, we visited the temple of Jeen Mata. It was extremely crowded. While we do perform the nine-day puja (worship) at our home as well, my husband felt a strong desire this time to visit a temple of the Goddess in person.

He wanted to witness the vibrant festivities there and show them to the children, as a fair-like atmosphere typically prevails outside the Goddess's temples during these nine days. There are stalls selling toys, food and refreshments, beauty accessories, and a wide variety of other items. A very long queue forms for the darshan (sacred viewing) of the Mother Goddess; we joined it barefoot, standing patiently as the line moved forward little by little. After completing our darshan, we toured the entire fairground. Since there are no vehicular transport options available there, everyone walks on foot. We browsed for items we wished to purchase and enjoyed the food and drinks on offer; it was a truly delightful experience. The Mother Goddess's grand, magnificent temple and its serene atmosphere were truly a sight to behold.

How did you do it? Explain in details. Who did what, who won and who lost in case of games?

We were well aware that the walking distance would be considerable. However, we felt confident enough to undertake the journey this time because our children are now grown up; there was no need to carry anyone in our arms. Traveling with small children can be challenging, but since that was no longer an issue, we did not hesitate to venture into such a massive crowd. We simply gave the children one instruction: everyone has a mobile phone. We designated a specific meeting point where the four of us would regroup should we get separated in the surging crowd; since everyone had their phones with them, there was no cause for anxiety.

When we finally reached our hotel—where our room was located on the second floor—we found that the building was equipped with both stairs and an elevator. As my legs were aching from all the walking, I told my husband that I would be taking the elevator; the children decided to join me in the lift as well. My husband, however, chose not to take the elevator. He insisted, "No, I’m going to use the stairs." My husband actually won—I have no idea how he managed to get there so quickly!

What are the challenges of getting everyone together to do this activity together

We faced a particular challenge in bringing everyone together for this outing. Since both our children are currently studying, we had to carefully check their academic schedules to ensure we could secure a proper break for them without disrupting their studies. My elder son attends online classes, and my younger son is awaiting his exam results; we were constantly worried that the school might summon him on the very day we planned to leave—which would have created quite a predicament. Consequently, whenever we plan to travel anywhere, we invariably have to navigate these kinds of logistical challenges beforehand.

What are the gains and how did it benefit your family

There are immense benefits whenever the family comes together, as typically, everyone is engrossed in their own separate routines—the children with their studies, and the adults with the shop and household chores; everyone leads their own distinct life. However, such outings provide us with a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together as a family. It offers us adults a respite from physical and mental fatigue, while the children get a much-needed break from their academic pressures—a definite advantage for everyone. After all, a sense of contentment and the occasional opportunity to travel are essential; to move forward in life with enthusiasm and vigor, it is vital that our minds and spirits remain calm and balanced.

Our family reaped a significant spiritual benefit from this trip: we had the privilege of visiting the shrine of the Goddess, and the entire family was able to offer prayers and seek her blessings together. The true joy of visiting a temple lies in doing so as a family—when everyone bows their heads in reverence and offers their collective prayers. Whether visiting the shrine of the Mother Goddess or the abode of any deity, families invariably prefer to go together, as everyone feels it is essential to offer their personal obeisance.

Who in the family greatly enjoyed this activity and why?

Among all of us, it was my children who enjoyed the trip the most. For them, it meant a welcome break from the simple, everyday home-cooked meals. When traveling, they get to indulge in all sorts of savory snacks and street food, and they also get the chance to try out new and exciting dishes. While we were there, we tasted Chandrakala—a sweet pastry filled with khoya (reduced milk solids)—and enjoyed eating Dosa, sweet corn, while sitting in the local canteen.

The amount of cold drinks consumed is simply countless; children drink so much of it. When they step out, it is the children who have the most fun, as there are absolutely no restrictions—they can sleep and wake up whenever they please, and there is no studying to be done.

Thankyou dear for wonderful score.

Hi friend,,,

I enjoyed the walking processes from you and your family. Walking especially the evening walk, creates room for sight-seeing, gist, laughter and others. It is of no doubt the kids had the most fun ever, even though they were grown, walking with their parents feels great to them.

I am so sure this has helped in bonding with your family in an interesting way.
