School Runs, Test And Motherhood duties (12/1/2026)

Welcome to a new week! I hope this week brings us good news, fulfilled prayers, and brighter days ahead 🙏. I trust you’re all doing well and embracing the week with positivity.

Today is Monday, the second day of the week, and as we know, Mondays often come with a lengthy to-do list. Surprisingly, today felt less overwhelming than usual, though it did start off busy.
I hardly slept last night while preparing for a test this morning. By 5am, I was already up and bustling about. On top of that, my son was starting school today after the holidays, so I had no time to be lazy 😄.
After my morning prayers, I quickly showered mornings are truly the best for that. Since my test was at 8am, I aimed to leave the house early. Next, I headed to the kitchen to make my son’s lunch spaghetti with egg sauce and fish, which is one of the easiest meals to prepare. It was ready in no time.

Waking him up brought a huge smile to my face; the excitement on his face showed how much he missed school. After he brushed his teeth and bathed, I served him breakfast bread with chocolate spread and tea, which he happily ate. That little delight made my morning even brighter 💕.
I returned to the kitchen to pack his lunch into his bag while my mum helped dress him. I reheated his meal, plated it, and organized his lunch bag with some water and snacks. Before we knew it, my handsome boy was fully ready for school.
After dropping him off at school, I hurried home to get myself ready for my own classes. Catching a bus was tough due to the crowded bus stop. I arrived late and received calls from my classmates that the test was about to begin. Fortunately, the lecturer let me in after scolding me.

After the test, we had another class that wrapped up around 1pm, marking the end of the day. On my way home, I stopped at the market to grab potatoes for tomorrow and picked up a watermelon too. Once home, I savored the watermelon and took a brief nap.

I am really grateful for my mum's help picking up my son from school ❤️. For dinner, we had eba with palm nut soup that I made the previous day simple but satisfying.

We all went to bed early, as tomorrow promises to be just as busy.
