So while I was at my work place, a person came to me claiming he was referred to my shop by someone.
I asked him for how I would help him and he said he wanted to repair A pressing iron.

For me, this'll be easy. Pressing iron are not always hard to go about with.
So, I asked him to bring it out from the bag he was carrying.

When he brought it out, I saw that it was a steam iron. Not just an ordinary one, but a one that has panel ( motherboard) in it.
This might be a long day😂.

I asked what the problem was, and he said it was not steaming.
You know in stream irons, there's an opening for pouring in water into it. when you're using it, you can spray water on the clothes while ironing.
But the one could hest up the water in it. And if the water is not heated , it can't stream.

So, I traced the fault to come from the panel , there was a burnt capacitor in the panel, which could no longer hold electricity and pass to the element at the stream chamber to heat up the water.
So, I started checking around the shop if I'd find the same capacitor with the same volt and Capacitance.

I was lucky to find the same capacitance as the old one. I didn't have to go out and buy.

So, I replaced it with the old one.
When I did that, the element in the steam chamber started heating up. So I bought water and we poured in into the iron and waited for it to boil. The used a rag to test the iron.

Friends, it worked perfectly well.

Do, see you next time.
