My First Stage Performance to Open the Voice of Steemit Singing Competition

If you notice, I'm hosting an online competition on steemit where different Steemians from different zones would be participating in the competition. We have Nigerians, Venezuelans and Pakistanis in the show. Music is not all about how well you sing or how better you are in singing than others, but also how good you are in making that song yours.

No one is a professional when it comes to music because we sing everyday and learn how to improve our vocals, except those who studied it as a course or got trained by someone. I happen to be the host of the singing competition and to open the show which is commencing tomorrow, I made an opening performance for the show.

I had to sing a song with the finalists of last season, but unfortunately, we couldn't make it possible. Only one finalist show up on stage. Others couldn't due to unforeseen occurrence. So since the place was already paid for, I didn't want the money to waste without any performance that night and we had a good number of audience in that place. So I had to pull this up, almost unprepared.

Honestly, I was actually scared of the microphone used there because I haven't used wireless microphone to sing out loud before. I usually use pinned microphones without amplifiers. I got all dressed on stage with my coat and senator and people were like, "Who's this show boy?". I wasn't scared of my audience though.

The only fear I had was that the presentation should come out well because it's only the audience that can tell you if the presentation is nice or it's not. Anyways, every disappointment was indeed a blessing that day because of I didn't come prepared to sing solo since I got disappointed in the group performance, it would have been messy.

I didn't own the song. I sang exactly as the artist sang and my voice was so cold and soft to depict the emotions in the song. I felt every words that came out of my mouth and my camera man really did justice to the coverage. How made everything so real and unique. The composure, settings and style gave me the confidence to sing out loud. @whitie came over and acted as my backup vocalists.
