Contest alert - All in one contest WK 5: Steem powerup (10.861 Steem)

Today, I was able to power up 10.861 Steem and I am glad to share with you the power-up process. I do hope that you will find this article interesting.

MEANING OF STEEM
STEEM is a native digital token given as a reward in the Steemit blockchain-based social media. It is given to users on the platform for interacting.

MEANING OF POWER-UP
Power-up is the conversion or transfer of liquid Steem into Steem power.

BENEFIT OF POWER-UP
Power-up has a lot of benefits among which are:

1. Powering up helps in building Steem power, which also helps in growing one's reputation on Steemit.
2. Converting Steem to Steem power makes Steem scarce thereby influencing its price positively.
3. It makes you become a trusted Steemian.
4. Powering up is an investment of steam and getting it back in the future.
5. Powering up helps Stemian to move from one club to another.
6. Influence tokens which give you more control over post payouts.
7. It allows you to earn on curation rewards.

PROCESS OF POWERING UP STEEM
There are different ways of powering up Steem. A Steemian can:

1. Convert Steem Dollars (SBD) into Steem through the marketplace and convert it to Steem Power.
2. Powering up your earned Steem into Steem power.

MY PROCESS FOR THE POWER-UP
The first thing I did was log into my wallet. So I click on the wallet, and it opens up. While in the wallet, I have to provide my posting key to give me access to do the power-up. On entering the posting key, this page opens.

My current Steem is writing there: 10.861 STEEM and my current STEEM POWER IS 3,760.241 STEEM, all in green ink. The next thing I did was tap on the small triangle close to the steem, and a menu popped up.

On the menu, I clicked on power up, and a new page popped up whose heading was convert to STEEM POWER.

On this page, I clicked on the amount and typed 10.861 which means I am converting 10.861 STEEM, and the power-up button changed to black.

I clicked on the power-up button, and it immediately took me to another page titled Confirm Transfer To Vesting.

I clicked on ok and my STEEM POWER changed from 3,760.241 STEEM to 3,771.103 STEEM, while the liquid Steem turned to 0.000 STEEM

Conclusion
