Greetings dear friends! How are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. I appreciate @mesola for this contest. This week, I drew the portrait of a kid and I want to show you the step-by-step process of the drawing.

Kids are blessings from God to every parent. Therefore, parents should always ensure that they put a smile on their kids ' faces.

Materials for the drawing

  • White embossed paper
  • Pencils
  • Eraser
  • Blade
  • Cotton wool

Step 1
I began by first writing my name and date on the paper to claim ownership of the drawing. I then drew the left eye of the boy, shading it appropriately. I used a HB pencil at this step.

Step 2
Here, I drew the nose of the boy. I shaded the nostrils using a 6B pencil and then drew the right eye. I also shaded the eye.

Step 3
I drew the mouth and the lower jaw of the kid. I first drew the wide open mouth. I drew the lips, the teeth, the gums and the tongue. After that, I shaded the upper part of the tongue. Lastly, I drew the lower jaw.

Step 4
Here, I sketched the hair on the head of the kid, the ears, the cheek, and the neck. I also drew the shoulder, the chest and the singlet the kid put on. I used a HB pencil for the drawing.

Step 5
I started shading the drawing, beginning with the forehead and the left cheek. I used a 2B pencil and blended it with cotton wool.

Step 6
I shaded the mouth of the kid, which I began with the lips, followed by the teeth, the gums in the mouth and the tongue. I also shaded the jaw and the remaining part of the face.

Step 7
I shaded the kid's ears using a 2B pencil and also adjusted the hair on the head. I shaded the shoulder, the chest and the singlet of the kid which brought me to the end of my drawing.

Your pencil drawing is absolutely beautiful, I like the cheek aspects of the child it so chubby and puffy.
