My BEST UNFORGETTABLE DAY
*Hello my felow steemians 🙂. I trust you all are doing great...... I'm good also 😌.
Today, I would like to join this wonderful contest "My Best Unforgettable Day".
What was your most unforgettable day , and what happened?
- I thought that day of the year would be like other days in the previous years, but I was wrong. It was my birthday, the 8th of June. In the family I grew up, we don't really do surprise birthdays....... When it was your birthday, we all just gather around and eat a well prepared dinner made specially by my mum with you the celebrant getting the lion's share and better part of the food. Don't get me wrong, we do enjoy those periods a lot and always look forward to another birthday In the house.
But this year's was different and special. It was my 19th birthday and my first birthday in the University. I can remember feeling so down that day because I know i miss the dinner at my home. I got a lot of birthday calls from home that day, but I still wasn't entirely happy. I spent most of that day tossing around on my bed and just doing random things and accepting my fate. The surprise came towards evening time.......There's this one of my friend who has been who's been avoiding me all day.....though I didn't give it much thought because I wasn't really in the mood to speak to anyone that day.
Then out of the blue, two of my friends came into my room and were screaming surprise 😮 with birthday presents, they even sang me a birthday song.
I was soo happy happy that day ☺️🙂.
Why is the day so special and memorable to you?
-This day is so special to me because it was that day I knew that I wasn't alone, that I had friends who care about my feelings. I'm a kindof person who normally don't know how to make friends and also keep the ones I have, i just like doing things on my own and hardly believe that i actually need friends in my life.........but this day made me realise that it's not actually bad to have friends who care about your wellbeing and are always there for you. That feeling is actually very nice 😌 ☺️.
What important lesson or beautiful memory did you take away from that experience?
- The biggest lesson i learnt that day is that, one don't always have to do things on your own.I learnt that real friends show up even for you even when you didn't ask them to .
This memory taught me to open up more that there are always those real friends there ready and willing to listen and support you and also to be that kind of friend to others
I would like to invite @joymm to join in this wonderful contest 🙂
