The Diary Game: A situation of a 3years old child who inspected an object into the ear (16:1:2026)

in Steem Kids & Parentslast month (edited)

Hello Wonderful Steemians, I hope you all having an awesome day.

Today, we had a frightening experience with my neighbor's three-year-old child who mistakenly inserted a small object into her ear while playing. At first, the parent did not notice anything unusual, but after a short while, she began to cry and complain of discomfort. Her reaction immediately made them worried, and we knew something was wrong.

When we gently asked her what happened, she pointed to her ear. The mother panicked but I persuaded her to remained calm, even though I too was scared, because I knew panicking would only make the situation worse. I resisted the urge to try removing the object myself, as I was afraid of pushing it deeper and causing more harm.

We quickly took her to the nearest hospital, where the EMR doctor was announced to be absent but to return in 3days. All efforts to get him him on sight or any other professional proved abortive. Few moments later he was accessible but off sight having heard the case at hand he dived into billing and we should take her home and return in 3days. I saw no professionalism there but pure greed.

Our worries grew higher time to time. Opon our brain storming on who to reach out to, here comes a church member who happens to be a matron, she immediately examined her ear carefully. With the right medical tools and experience, she safely removed the object without causing injury. Thankfully, the child was relieved, and her crying stopped almost immediately. All these done at no cost charged. The matron also advised us to always keep small objects out of children’s reach and to watch them closely during playtime. God bless you ma.

This experience taught me an important lesson about child safety and supervision. Children are naturally curious, and accidents can happen very quickly. I urge all to become more careful about keeping small items away from children, and educate them in simple words, about what they should not put in their ears or nose. Although it was a scary moment, I am grateful that it ended safely.

To all health professionals let's prioritize safety to life than greed for money.
