The Diary Game || 31/10/2025 || Attending the Funeral of my Coursemate's Mother as a Department
Good evening Steemians,
I want to share with steemit how I spent my day. So today being the 31st day of October, 2025, we the student of the Chemistry Education unit, Science Education Department, Faculty of Education, University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, went to Ikot Ekan to bless the burial ceremony of our coursemate's mother's burial.
So we left the school earlier today by 11am because it was a burial. At least we needed to be a little bit late because we were not the church nor the preacher; we were concerned Nigerian students who went to mourn with our comrade, Comrade Precious Udosen. Her mother lived an exemplary life full of emulation; according to the biography, the mother was social and accommodating, but death took her away from this planet of earth at the age of 55 years. We cannot question God. We presented our condolences to the bereaved family.
So after the burial, I, as the course representative, took over the stage as usual, because as a leader I am always at the front to represent my people. So I took her microphone and introduced who we are to the people of Ikot Ekan in the Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Then we sing the Aluta anthem; after that, we sing all the Aluta songs that we know and dance to make the environment know that we, the Nigerian students, are around. We really made the occasion colorful.
God Almighty gave us clement weather. God is really faithful; he doesn't disappoint his own; he is a faithful God. So after everything, we eat and drink to our satisfaction. So after everything, we presented our token to her because we went there to sympathize as a class. And God took us back to our destination. God is good.
