My diary: Screeding A Casting Base

Today I did some screeding work.
I used scaffolding to get to the spot and have good balance. This is different from some wall screeding. This is a casting screeding. Scredding a to base of a building in terms of ceiling or pop. The scaffolding helped me get the screeding material spread out so I won't be coming down to take them one after the other.

I made the screeding material myself by mixing three things together: Top Bond and screeding paint that has calcium in it and cement. When I mixed these three things they made a paste that I needed to do the job. The Top Bond helped make the mix stronger and last longer. The screeding paint with calcium made it more flexible and nicer to touch. The cement gave it a base so it does not fall apart. I had to mix them just right so it was not too runny or too thick.

When the paste was ready I put it on the surface using the scaffolding. I wanted to make it a really smooth layer. It took some time and hard work. It was worth it because it looks really nice and even at last. The screeding work I did today shows that I put in a lot of effort t the work.

This video shows how I did it right.
