Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more week90
Greetings to you all, and wishing you all a happy new year in advance. Hope all is well and you're all doing okay just as I am. Creativity has a quiet way of speaking, and for me, it often begins with a simple pencil touching paper. When I came across this contest, "New contest Week 90// Let's do it...Do It Yourself 👉 Craft, Creativity, Drawing, Origami, DIY, Recycling, and more," organized by @mesola, I felt inspired to contribute something simple yet meaningful. For my entry today, I decided to draw only the eyes, using pencil as my main medium, because the eyes have a powerful way of communicating emotions without saying a single word. I chose this approach intentionally because eyes tell stories on their own. They carry emotions such as sadness, curiosity, strength, and hope, even without a full face, and I wanted to show just that. Here's how I created this drawing.
Drawing Materials
• A4 paper
• mechanical pencil
• graphite pencil
• charcoal pencil
• HB pencil
• 4B and 6B pencil
• black pen
• eraser
• sharpener
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1
I began by lightly sketching the basic placement of one of the eyes, ensuring they aligned naturally on the page. At this early stage, I avoided pressing too hard, allowing the drawing to evolve freely without fear of mistakes.
Step 2
Next, as I moved forward, I concentrated on defining the eyelids and brows. I carefully studied how eyebrows are not just single lines but clusters of hair growing in different directions. Using short, layered strokes, I slowly built their texture. Then I carefully shaded the pupils and shaded as well.
Step 3
After completing one of the eyes, I went to the other. Then I lightly sketched the outlines, keeping my hand relaxed so the lines wouldn’t feel forced. At this stage, my focus was not perfection but proportion. I wanted the eyes to sit naturally on the page, with enough space between them to feel realistic.
Step 4
Next As I moved deeper into the process of drawing the female eyes, I began defining the eyelids and eyebrows. The eyelashes were drawn one by one, using quick, controlled movements of the pencil to keep them natural and expressive.
Step 5
Next I then focused on shading the female eye so it would bring out the beauty.
Step 6
For the final step, I carefully refined the entire drawing. making small adjustments where needed and adding little details, making the overall drawing bold and realistic. Below is my final result.
My selfie with my drawing
What makes this drawing beautiful to me is not just the final result, but the experience of creating it. The process required calmness and full attention. Every stroke reminded me that art is not about rushing to the finish line but enjoying each moment along the way. There were times I paused just to observe the drawing, allowing my instincts to guide the next step. Participating in this contest has motivated me to keep pushing my boundaries and sharing my artistic journey. I’m thankful for this opportunity and for a community that values handmade creativity. Thanks, everyone, and till we meet again.

This is a spectacular view of art you have there@emmaboy23...really I have learnt a lot from you and how you draw. Well done and please keep being inspiration in drawing.
I am very impressed by the picture you have drawn. Although you have only shown the eyes, it is clear from the expression and texture of these eyes which eye is a man's and which eye is a woman's. I am very impressed by your drawing skills.
Amazing work. The eye details and shading are very expressive. Great creativity and effort keep it up.👏🎨
Thank you
