Let's do it...Do It Yourself👉Craft, Creativity, Drawing, origami, DIY, Recycling and more week95
Hello, amazing friends and fellow creatives; hope you are all doing well. For today, I am excited to share another pencil portrait I made for this contest. In this post, I will be showing the process I followed to draw Hrithik Roshan with graphite pencil. Portrait drawing is something I truly enjoy because it allows me to study facial features closely and improve my shading skills with every new work. For this particular piece, I wanted to create a simple but expressive portrait that would capture his recognizable face, hairstyle, and beard. Stay tuned as I walk you through the process.
Drawing materials
• A4 paper
• graphite pencil
• HB, 4B, and 6B pencils
• charcoal pencil
• black pen
• eraser
• sharpener
Step 1
The first practical step was to work on the eyes early because they bring expression to the portrait. I carefully drew the pupils, eyelids, and light shadows around them. After that, I shaped the nose.
step 2
Next I worked on the lips and beards. To do this, I used short and controlled strokes to create the effect of facial hair. I avoided making it too dark in one go. Instead, I added the beard little by little, checking the balance as I moved forward.
Step 3
After doing that, the next major step was drawing the hair. I used repeated pencil strokes in the direction of the hair to Stepcreate texture. I also darkened some sections more than others so the hair would have depth and not appear flat. Then I shaded the neck and added clothing as well.
Step 4
At this final stage, I carefully added contrast and darkened areas as necessary. These little details helped bring the drawing together. And below is my final result.
My selfie with my drawing
In the end, I was happy with how the portrait turned out. This drawing helped me practice facial proportions, hair texture, and beard detailing. I truly enjoyed creating this piece and sharing the process with you all. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my post. Your support and encouragement mean a lot to me and always motivate me to keep improving my art.
