If I Could Meet You One More Time | Blogging Contest | Week 5
My thoughts... I took the time and I seriously reflected upon the questions as I went about them honestly.
Whom would you love to meet one last time, & why?
I know this may sound cliche, though someone that is deeply loved, and is no longer present in the world today would have to be someone that I choose. This person for me would have been my Grandmother who the person who is the grandmother isn't in this world anymore which would be Nana, she died 7 years ago from lung cancer, and impacted my life ever so much, From being the only person in my whole family who can cook really anybody Nana always made people feel like it is the more the merrier, especially about being welcome to have a seat at her table. Not only Nana but the baking went further to her being able to knit everybody wonderful sweaters too!
What would you say/ask the chosen loved one, given one meeting?
Should I be fortunate to be in the situation to be able to meet Nana one last time, I'd like to have the opportunity to tell her thanks, thanks to every thing she has ever done to me in the sense that Nana will continue to be remembered forever for the marvelous woman she was, thank her for her advice and to say "i love you" for the final time. Honestly I may sound cliche for the saying, but for having lost Nana the previous year which for Nana last year had been extremely hard, especially since Nana really got severely ill from Lung cancer, if that isn't something she should have known from me that we family adore her so very much. Then there would have to be questions...
What is the thing Nana knew best that someone has to learn out of the lifetime that is currently given, so things like what are the biggest things someone should know when continuing forward in their lives, for things that someone has to learn throughout as so.
Do nana you miss baking Nana sweaters to everybody so much that Nana really really misses them, though even if Nana was unable to it was something I only knew of Nana so you had to know things like that, and to hear even a saying of "love it was still something that i miss greatly" though with knowing my Nana, it had to be how they do things differently then the original way when Nana wasn't living and when they can not be trusted, and "if things could have gone different for us two" Nana for sure would have preferred to do anything, Nana must surely miss knitting me and all other cousins such lovely sweaters to every family member.
What would you take away from the meeting and remember always?
With regards to remembering my Nana at least it should be of her amazing laugh, that Nana had so much that is the most wonderful laughter I ever did and will ever do here; any time any thing did make Nana giggle like that it would be an obvious thing to hear it so from Nana that it made you join in even when it caused problems later; the way nana held eye contact with me; what nana was talking about then lastly her warm welcome should be cherished forever withNana for when nana walked you got to know of the amazing human being i've ever known.

This is such a heartfelt and emotional reflection. Your memories of Nana clearly show how deeply she touched your life and the lives of everyone around her. She sounds like a truly wonderful woman whose love was expressed through the little things—cooking delicious meals, welcoming everyone to her table, knitting beautiful sweaters, giving advice, and making people feel at home.
I especially loved the part about wanting to meet her one last time just to say “thank you” and “I love you.” Sometimes those are the words we wish we had more opportunities to say to the people who mean the most to us.
