sanc8: Share your thoughts about Childhood

Aslamalikom Everyone 💕

Hopefully you are all fine and good by grace of Allah. I am also fine and good 😊.

Childhood—a time filled with joy and free from sorrow; no worries about money, no anxiety about tomorrow—nothing but peace and tranquility all around.

I would like to share some memories and incidents from my childhood with you; I hope you enjoy them. Please do let me know what you think of these stories.
During our childhood, all of us siblings and cousins used to go to a neighbor's house to watch "Ainak Wala Jin on TV.

In the drama, Nastoor Jinn, Zakota Jin and "Bil Batoori" used to be my favorite characters.

A movie was also screened every Thursday, and by the time we finished watching, it would be quite late; consequently, Mother would lock the door for the night and refuse to open it for us because we had stayed out so long.

It was only when our father returned that he would have the door opened, and we would get a sound thrashing; yet, the very next day, we would cast all caution to the wind and go right back to watch "Ainak Wala Jin".

Going to pick up raw Mangos:

In my childhood, there were mango trees in the fields outside the village, and we children would all go there together to eat raw mangoes. Often, a dog would be set loose after us, or the owners themselves would chase us; looking back on that running now brings a smile to my face.

In our childhood, we used to play games like Ludo, Carrom, "Kuklashpaki", Hide-and-Seek, Cops and Robbers, "Pitthu Garam", Hopscotch, 'Ready-Go', and the game where you hold your breath while trying to catch other players.
I am reminded of that song aired on PTV—sung to such a lovely melody—about the wonderful days of my childhood. Why did the memory of those days suddenly come flooding back today? If only someone could reunite me with my childhood; if only someone could bring my childhood back to me.
میرے بچپن کے دن کتنے اچھے تھےدن
اج بیٹھے بٹھائے کیوں یاد اگئے
میرے بچپن کو مجھ سے ملا دے کوئی
میرا بچپن کسی مول لادے کوئی

As a child, I loved playing with baby chicks. My mother had planted many plants at home; I used to water them every day and sit with them, chatting away endlessly.

A Very Funny Incident:

I recall a very funny incident. My cousin and I were on our way to visit our grandmother in a nearby village. Our mother had cut our hair short because we had developed some sores on our scalps.
Although the distance was short enough that people usually walked it, we decided to take the bus.
As soon as the bus arrived, we boarded it. The conductor came over and asked for the fare; since we were just young girls, we didn't have any money with us. He threatened, "Hurry up and get the fare out, or else I’ll pull your hair!" We quickly adjusted our "dupattas"over our heads. Just then, our stop arrived, and we immediately got off the bus.
We were left in fits of laughter—after all, the conductor had threatened to pull our hair, yet we didn't have any hair to pull! Hahaha 🤣
It really is a funny thing to think about.

This is my today's funny post. Hopefully you enjoy it a lot.
