A nostalgic moment in the villa

‎It's really special to have memories, and most times what brings back those memories is pictures. They paint a thousand stories that we remember when we see them, it was a really fun journey for me to go down that memory lane once again.

‎So last weekend by this time I was in Umunkolo Nbawsi, which is located in Abia state. That is my village actually.
‎
‎My Grandma has a medical eye condition, so it was a thing of joy to know that she had done the eye surgery in a prestigious hospital, since it's just my Grandpa there, we felt that they could use a little help.
‎So last week Saturday by around 4pm we began the journey to the villa, it is not a really far place or too distant but it was a journey which I dozed off.
‎
‎Waking up we had arrived and it was a huge surprise to my Grandparents that we visited, they never expected us in any way at all and they were overjoyed.
‎We had some fun catching up and although we weren't staying long we would make it worthwhile.
‎

‎The next day was a Sunday, do while getting ready, I went into the living room, on the walls of the living room hangs beautiful pictures that were taken right from when I was a kid till now, all my cousins baby pictures and mine as well as my uncle's and aunt when they were still younger.

‎And then the best of all was the family group picture hung on the wall, that picture was taken in 2015, and it was after that year that my Grandparents started developing health problems, it's been 10 years but they are still alive, I thank God everyday.
‎

‎That was also the last time that all our cousins, aunts, uncle's came to the village, it was really a full house, I was so little by then, I'll share the video below.

‎So viewing those pictures brought back the memories that we all held dear, my baby pictures, my grandpa and grandma when they were still young, that's probably the funniest thing to be honest, crazy what advancing in age does.

‎Anyways, it seems I getting really nostalgic so I had to stop and start getting ready, soon we went and got back and then we had fun playing Ludo with three dice instead of the normal two we were used to.

‎We spent the entire Monday there and then on Tuesday morning we began coming back, because we both had school, it was really an amazing moment to have spent with them and after talking a bit we took fun pictures as well...
‎

‎Hopefully, we plan to return this December where some of us will actually be returning back to the villa, to see them once again, the pictures we took now has created new memories that I would love to treasure.
