week--27|| My Weekly Food Highlight
I always strive to create diverse content; that is why I am here today with a new post. Today, I will share the best meals I had this week, along with my thoughts and feelings about them. Food is always a fascinating subject. I extend my sincere thanks to @ngoenyi for organizing such a wonderful contest. So, let’s get started—
Since I currently live in a student hostel, I often miss my mother's cooking. However, when I visited home this week, I thoroughly enjoyed every dish she prepared—they were incredibly delicious, flavorful, and nutritious. I feel that no matter how tasty or excellent the food outside might be, nothing compares to the taste of a mother's cooking. There always seems to be something missing in outside food; that is why home-cooked meals are the best. For this reason, I truly enjoyed this week, savoring a variety of wonderful new dishes.

wednesday(Lunch)
(Rice, potato stir-fry with okra, and red lentil dal)
For lunch on Wednesday, I had rice, potato and okra stir-fry, and red lentil dal. Red lentil dal is highly beneficial for our bodies, which is why it is included in our meals alongside other dishes. Moreover, since okra is currently in season, it tastes delicious.
Saturday(Lunch)
(Rice, stir-fried greens with shrimp, and Pangas fish curry with potatoes)
For lunch on Saturday, I had rice, Pangas fish curry with potatoes, and stir-fried leafy greens with shrimp. The greens came from our own garden. Leafy greens are extremely healthy for the body, yet many people—especially children—are reluctant to eat them these days. However, they are packed with nutrients and vitamins.Pangas fish is a personal favorite of mine. Moreover, this recipe turned out to be absolutely delicious.
sunday(Lunch)
(Rice, fried potatoes, fish curry with water spinach, mango, and lemon)
For Sunday lunch, I had rice, a fish stew with kolmi greens (water spinach), and fried potatoes. Kolmi greens are rich in vitamins and contain a significant amount of iron, making them very beneficial for the body. Moreover, the dishes were delicious. There were also mangoes and lemons for fruit; since it is currently mango season and the mango was tree-ripened, it tasted wonderful.
monday(Dinner)
(Bread and ice cream)
For dinner on Monday, I had something light—specifically, a cream bun and an ice cream. The ice cream was a chocobar-flavored one, which offers a refreshing, soothing feeling to the body on a hot day. Besides, cream buns are delicious to eat. It is always enjoyable to have such light meals every now and then.
