Hello guys, so this was a drawing I just finished as part of my entry for the Let's do it...Do It Yourself contest week 85. First and foremost, I would like to appreciate the host @mesola for this beautiful contest. This actually happens to be my first-ever entry for this competition; it definitely won't be my last, and I was invited by @caringmanasseh to participate in this competition.

This was a random work, and also an imaginary piece most times i tend to draw from my head without looking for a reference and this happens to be the final result.
this work took me roughly 50 minute to sketch and it was done using the following materials:

Medium

Charcoal pencil
Crayon pencil
Eraser
A 4 paper

Progress work

when i started sketching i didnt know what i wanted to achieve with this work, but i just had to trust my instinct and draw something anyway. i did a frame work sketch from this beginning stage so as to get a guide before proceeding to the next step.

at this step i completed the sketch of the face of my subject

This was the stage i started adding colors to the face of my subject so as to capture it essence, i know there is someone out there who looks like this, but its crazy how our mind work, pulling this out of imagination sometimes make me wonder what i could pull in the future.
