World Environment Day at IMSU was actually packed

The day started with a choir ministration that lowkey set the mood. It was our school Catholic Church choir that came through, and my faculty footed the bill for them 🙂 You could tell they rehearsed well because the song was about creation and taking care of the earth. Got everyone paying attention before any serious talk started. People were clapping and recording with their phones, so the atmosphere was calm but serious.

Then the main thing started - the talk on environmental cleanup and sensitization campaign. Our dean of faculty was the first to speak and he didn’t sugarcoat anything. He was talking about how IMSU students contribute to littering on campus and what we need to stop. After him our guest speaker came in with more details, real stats about plastic waste and drain blockage. Even the representative of our Vice Chancellor was there, sat through everything and added his own words at the end. Made the whole thing feel official, not just another faculty program.

The part I enjoyed most was the drama. Students from our faculty acted it out - showing how one person dumping sachet water can lead to flooding during rain. They made it funny but the message hit hard. After the drama we went straight into questions and answers, and students were actually asking real questions about waste bins and cleaning schedules. That was how the day wrapped up. Left the hall feeling like I learned something useful.
