sanc2: Share your thoughts about TRUST
It is good to trust and be cautious at the same time when trusting someone, because some people may appear innocent and calm but have a generous side, which is why one needs to be careful with the way they trust people.
Trust is about having confidence or firm belief in the ability, truth, reliability, or strength of someone or something. It is what makes human relationships stronger than ever. However, as for me, due to my experience, I now find it so difficult to trust anyone.
I have been betrayed many times by the people whom I trusted and hoped for so much. My downfall was due to trusting someone, and my problem as well was due to trusting someone. It has happened to me from my fellow ladies and also guys.
My good friend, whom I trusted so much and always spoke well of, betrayed me to the point that I am still trying to stand on my feet. This was a girl that I shared things with, a girl that knows me, someone whom I don't hide things from, someone whom I am open to and ready to sacrifice my pleasure for her to be found, who ended up betraying me.
She went behind me and told my boyfriend, who is the man, m my ex, the things I never imagined myself doing. She lies on my head and fabricates a lot of nonsense stories about me just to prove a point and act as a nice person. At the end of the day, I lost my relationship with my guy to her, and today I am happy that what she got, she couldn't sustain it, and the person who left me for her has been begging me to come back, which I have moved on long time ago.
A lot of people are full of jealousy, which has made it so difficult for me to trust anyone around me. It is better I don't trust than to trust and believing in someone, and at the end of the day, the person whom I trusted and believed in is the one to betray me. A stranger should betray me rather than someone whom I trusted.
Your experience is a reminder that trust is something that should be earned, not given too quickly. I can understand why you became more careful after going through such a painful betrayal, especially when it came from someone you considered a close friend.
What I like most is that you didn't allow that experience to stop your life. Instead of going back to your ex, you chose to move forward, and I think that shows strength and self-respect. I believe we should be careful about who we trust, but at the same time, we shouldn't let the actions of a few people make us lose faith in everyone.
