The Diary Game: How I spent my day today as today is holiday for Eid-el-Fitr [19th March 2026]

Today, I would love to share with you how I spent my day in detail. It was a very beautiful morning today. The government of my country had declared a public holiday for today and tomorrow, and that was announced yesterday.
So, this morning, I woke up full of joy and happiness, at least for the very fact that I wouldn’t be going to work today. I wouldn’t be passing through the stress of trying to choose the right clothes to wear to work. I woke up today feeling so energized and truly happy.
I picked up my phone and called a friend of mine whom I hadn’t called for a long time. We spoke very well on the phone. She was really happy. In fact, we spent hours talking and we really enjoyed our conversation, until I decided to pull off the conversation and end the call so I could prepare the food I would eat.
And I did just that. I ended the call and prepared something to eat. After preparing it, I ate as much as possible before entering the bedroom. Inside the bedroom, I spent quality time making sure that I arranged my bed very well. Once I was done with that, I stepped out, did every necessary thing I needed to do to look good, and made sure everywhere was clean. I brushed my teeth, finished my food, and then I went straight to my neighbor’s place.
There, I had a great time of conversation with my friends over there. When I felt there was a need for me to return to my place, I went back home and took my bath again, and that was in the afternoon.
After bathing, I made a call to another friend of mine who was at her workplace, and she needed my presence. We had already discussed that earlier, so I had it in mind that I would be visiting. I dressed up immediately and zoomed off.
When I got to her place, we spent quality time together, talking about almost everything in the world that is interesting. In fact, I think we lost track of time. By the time I looked outside, I saw that everywhere was already dark. I was like, “Wow, I just came here by 1 p.m., and now it’s already dark. How fast can time fly?”
Then I realized that during moments of happiness, it feels as if time is flying because your brain does not feel bored. Your brain feels pleased and wants to spend more time enjoying what it is currently enjoying but when someone is feeling bored, the brain tries as much as possible to escape that situation.
That is the reason why people look at the time more often when they are bored than when they are in a place of pleasure.
So, I actually lost track of time and had to come back home tonight in the dark. I’m really glad today that I truly enjoyed my day very well. I’m also glad that I made some people happy and was good company to many people who share the same interests with me.
