All in one contest week 27/ Motherhood

Motherhood can be so challenging especially if you do not have anybody assisting you. This is my first post this year, 2026, while my last post was seven months ago.

I know several nights I have been awake trying to write what I will post here but sleep usually knows how to make my phone slip off my hand.

My maternity leave gave me the chance to participate here very well the way I want but once I started business, things started falling apart; it became a challenge on how to handle my business, handle my home and handle other things the way I want.

I am a mother with four children, I am the one taking care of my children financially and otherwise. Most days are so hectic that once I come back from the market and prepare their night food, I’ll be too tired to press my phone.

From this picture, you can see me close to bags of rice that are already inside a bus. I sent those bags of rice out to a customer, and that day I came back so tired and weak; you can see the stress written all over my face.

Is it the days any of my children will fall sick, I'll be walking the hallways of the hospital from morning till evening. The sleepless nights checking on them cannot be left out. Then some days you will be so buried in households that night will be as if it suddenly appeared. Assuming I have the resources to get help, I would have done that.

I think our girl child needs to know the challenges of motherhood before becoming one. It is not all rosy as we painted it to be.

The reason for this my article is to let our young one’s aware of some of the challenges of being a mother so they can plan better before becoming one.

One thing I know about my steemit journey is never to quit completely, I can stay away for days, weeks, months or even years, but I am never quitting because here gives me that closure of sharing my life with trusted people without being judged.
