My Weekly Food Highlight, Take a look
Hello, my dear Steemians, I hope you are all doing great. I am so excited to be partaking in this contest that was organised by Ma'am @ngoenyi. It's such a privilege to be sharing the meals I enjoyed during the week.
Food is one of the things that brings joy to my heart, especially when it tastes so good and healthy. Today I will be talking about some of the highlights from my weekly meals.
Monday meal: Fish vegetable sauce with white rice
I had this delicious meal on Monday afternoon. I had been craving vegetable sauce, and I didn't want to eat it alone, so I decided to pair it with white rice, as we all know how healthy vegetables are, right?
Not only did it taste so good, but it's so healthy, and it's a well-balanced meal. It's one of the easiest recipes to make at home while staying healthy without doing too much.
Ingredients: tilapia fish, spinach leaves, yellow, red and green bell peppers, tomatoes, chilli pepper, a little bit of olive oil, white rice, spices and seasoning
My Tuesday meal: sweet melon and red apples
I wasn't really hungry when I woke up on Tuesday, so I decided to have these fruits in the morning before going out. As we all know that eating fruits in the morning is good for the body, they are also packed with fibre and vitamins that will help with your digestive system.
My Thursday meal: my homemade parfait
Parfait is one of the easy, tasty and simple meals that I love; I can't do without eating it in a week. I am addicted to it for real. 😂 I had this parfait on Thursday evening.
I wanted something that wouldn't make me feel bloated before going to bed and would digest easily, so I decided to make my simple DIY parfait, and I enjoy it so much every time I make it. Each bite always makes me dance because it's always sweet.
Ingredients: Greek yoghurt, grapes, mixed granola that has cashew nuts, walnuts and strawberries in it
My Friday treat: my homemade banana bread
I love bread so much, but the regular bread that they sell in the supermarket is not healthy, so I decided to make a healthy version, which is the homemade banana bread. The name "banana bread" should have told you how tasty it will be, right? 😂
You can never go wrong with banana bread, and it's easy to make also. As long as you follow the right ingredients and the right steps, In making it, you are good to go.
Ingredients: oat flour, banana, eggs, baking powder, cocoa powder, honey or date powder, milk, walnuts, small amount of oil
I hereby invite @etified01 @balikiss333 and @peacemike to partake in this contest.
