- I started my drawing with a simple but clear sketch. First I thought about how I should put my feelings and imagination on paper. So I drew a girl from behind so that her face was not visible and the viewer could feel themselves in the character. After that I drew circles of different sizes on top. Which were later to become planets. My goal in this step was just to organize the idea. Therefore the lines were kept light and simple. So that they could be easily changed later.
- Now I started to define the girl's body and dress. I made her arms and hands look like she was really holding the planets. I made her hair long and wavy to give a sense of movement and softness. I kept the outline of the frock simple. But made a slight wavy line at the bottom to show the flow of the fabric. I deliberately did not include a face. Because I wanted this character to not be limited to one person. But every viewer could see themselves in it.
- In this step I worked on the concept of Planets. I tried to show that each planet is different. And has its own identity by creating circles of different sizes. Created a ring around some planets to make the Space theme clear. Then I connected all the Planets to the girl's hand through fine lines. As if they were holding them like balloons. For me these planets are not just planets but dreams thoughts and hopes that are going to the sky. At this stage I paid special attention to the composition so that everything seemed balanced.
- In this step I brought my drawing to life by filling it with color. I used different bright and soft colors for the planets. Such as blue pink purple and yellow to create a sense of space. I gave each planet a different shading and texture. So that they look different from each other. I used brown shades for the girl's hair to give it depth. I made large colored dots on the frock that match the planets. And added small white dots to create a starry effect. In this step my focus was on the harmony of colors.
- In the last step I put the final touches on the entire drawing. I added color to the strings of planets to create a sense of movement. As if they were all flying towards the sky. I cleaned up the outlines so that the image looked clear and neat. Finally when I looked at the entire drawing. I realized that this was not just a picture but an idea. Where a girl stands holding her dreams and her universe in her hands. The planet theme symbolizes imagination freedom. And the inner universe for me which is clearly reflected in this artwork.
