The Diary Game: A Day After Valentine (15-02-2026)

One of the major issues I have here is lack of power supply. We've been having issues with electricity for days now. It got worst that we've been having low voltage and it's not powering anything, even the least thing like phone. It's been really frustrating but nevertheless, we're leaving and hoping it gets better. I'll be sharing with you how I spent my Sunday. Yesterday, I didn't go to church. Not only because the venue for service was quite far from my place and I didn't have enough money on me to get myself to the place, but also because, I was a bit under the weather. I can vividly recall that the last time I feel sick was last year November. Since then, I've been trying my very best to stay healthy.

I woke up early because I have already gotten used to it to, but I couldn't get out of bed. My whole body was hurting badly. I laid there quietly. When my husband was how ill I was and I was running temperature, he that we visited the health center. I explained to him how I was feeling, that I won't be able to follow him to the clinic. He left to the pharmacy to get me medications. While he was away, my eldest child came home. She was surprised to see me at home on a Sunday. She said she wasn't expecting to see anyone at home and she wanted to just sneak in and have a good rest before we returned. When she came close to me and realize that I was running temperature, she went to get cold water to mop my skin before the drugs arrived.

At the pharmacy

My husband came back and gave me the drugs he bought. He also got me bread and tea which I'll have to eat, before taking the drugs. After taking the drugs, I rested back in the bed. My children were doing their chores and putting everything in place. About forty-five minutes after taking the drugs, I felt a lot better. I was a bit stronger. I went to prepare brunch. My daughter refused but I insisted. They had already prepared the ingredients for soup. I was just to commence the cooking.

Preparing brunch

After preparing the food, my daughter dished eat and we had brunch. I are and took the afternoon dose of my drugs. After taking my drugs, I rested before my daughter asked me to make her hair. She asked that I gave her a simple style. She washed her hair and I helped her to moisturize it and add other things before making the hair. It took me about an hour to finish her hair because of the thickness and length of her hair.

Making my daughter's hair

After the hair making, my husband decided to take us out. We didn't go anywhere on Valentine's day because we were all engaged. He decided to make it up to us by taking us for a post-valentine's outing. We went to a popular sit-out, "Olympic's Sit-out". We had suya, peppered beef and drinks. The joy of being with my family and enjoying with them drove away the sickness. I was happy that my children were enjoying themselves.

Having fun

We left the bar by 8:15 pm. I had to go home and eat and take my medications that was why we left early. When we got home we all had our shower and my husband and I had dinner. The children said they were already full so they went to bed. I hope you enjoyed my blog. See you some other time.

REMAIN BLESSED 🤍
