Portrait Drawing of Abraham Lincoln
Hi😀 everyone, and my fellow friends of steemit. How are you doing? How was your day? I hope you are doing well and fine. Cuz am fine and happy seeing my self in this bright new day.
Here I want to present my resent sketch or drawing of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States. He is a prominent figure in American history, known for his leadership during the Civil War and his efforts to abolish slavery. He delivered the iconic Gettysburg Address, a speech that framed the Civil War as a fight for freedom and the preservation of democracy. So sit tight while I take you through the steps I used in making this beautiful piece of art work.🤓

My Steps Of Procedure
•step 1.
Facial features are the defining elements of a subject's appearance. In this drawing, I focused on the nose, eyebrows, eyes, and mouth, while using the nasolabial folds and strategic shading to add depth and character.
•step 2.
I prioritized defining the facial structure, capturing every contour that frames his unique appearance.
•step 3.
I concentrated on capturing his character, defining his personality through the details of his beard, soul patch, and hairstyle.
•step 4.
I then rendered his iconic attire, capturing the structured layers of his frock coat and waistcoat to reflect his signature dressing style.
•step 5.
After completing the sketch of his attire, I darkened the outlines to emphasize the drawing's structure.
•step 6.
At this stage, I applied light shading to his eyebrows and goatee. I used a black pen for depth and a pencil to blend the facial hair's texture. I also darkened the pupils and eyelashes to define his gaze.
•step 7.
I rendered the 1860s-era suit using shading techniques to capture its form, and then detailed the hairstyle using expressive, directional line work.
•step 8.
Finally, I darkened his hair to create a dignified and natural appearance, followed by light facial shading to establish a realistic skin tone. I blended his lips with a red pen for a soft, lifelike tint. I titled the piece 'Abraham Lincoln' and added my handle, @michael60, to verify the work.
