The Nigerian Mentality — Cats are Witches. Why and How?

Do you know one funny thing in Africa as a whole? We attribute things, animals and people to certain things because of how they behave and what they are used for. Most Nigerians can't have a cat as a pet because to them, they feel cats are Witches and are usually used in movies to act in dark scenes and evil deeds. Talk more about using a black cat with a green eye.

Let's leave acting aside. Why would a cat come to someone's window at night and cry? Like how? This is another reason why I can't have a cat as a pet because it's giving that scary vibes. You hear cats meow at night like real babies and I'll be wondering which mother will leave her baby outside by this time of the night. So it's not just a mentality. Experiences have shown. No matter the millions I'd get for having a cat as a pet, I won't accept.

But to some, cats are lovely creatures. You'd even see them cuddle a cat so hard that they feel hurt when it's hurt. I wish I could have such feelings, but no. The cat idea is a no for me. Let's talk about this Cat in general. Do you know people eat cats? Jeezzzzzzzz. I can't even have it as a pet talk more about eating it.

I usually hear that a cat can never allow you to place him on his back. Why? Research has shown that they have vital organs there which can lead to illness and order disorders in their body. If you try placing a cat on its back, it can leap on you and scratch the hell out of you. That's when you'll know it's not as playful as you think.

Have you seen a cat at night? Its eyes are like bright torchlight which helps them see at night and to the advanced cats, they use it for hunting. Cats are the only mild animals in the cat family that I've heard of. Others are wild and it would interest you to know that cats live with people in their houses.

They say a cat has 9 lives which is enough reasons to believe it's a witch. Like, how ? 🤣 Anyways, that's my mentality but I find it difficult to believe except there's an added meaning to the sentence "A cat has 9 lives". It's said that you can't kill a cat by using a knife or by pressing its neck. The only time you can comfortably kill a cat is when you put it in a bag, a sack bag. So I heard. Haven't tried it before.
