Forgive and forget what Does the Bible say?

Hi there, I am happy to welcome you to my blog.
Today we have the word of God brought to us by Nana Yaw
In our time we see that which is forgivable and letting go of offenses is the exception. Many Christians do not put forth the effort to forgive what others have done to them as the pain they went through is very deep and hurt.
People may ignore acts of kindness which they received from someone in the past. That which was done for them out of the goodness of the heart is soon put out of mind. But at the same time when they themselves are put into a state of offense or see a broken promise from someone they do have a hard time to get over it.
Some people may seem to forgive at the drop of a hat but in reality what was done to them is not forgotten. In the case of Bro. Eli’s teaching which I follow, he says that love is the base for easy forgiveness and forgetting.
Also he went on to say that the world’s lack of love is the root cause which makes practice of forgiveness so difficult (Hebrews 8:12)

Many of our Christian brothers and sisters find themselves in this situation. They do not forgive which is the case when they are at odds with other church goers or even with the pastors which they look up to. At the same time they are regular church goers which is a paradox. This bitterness which they carry around with them affects their prayers also may which in turn blocks any blessings that come their way.
Love is a great virtue that we have to cultivate. Out of love we are able to forgive and forget offenses. The devil preys on this weakness which is that we as humans have a hard time letting go of pain. But with true love we may transcend these issues.

Brothers, we must work at forgiving each other.Result which also serves as the main point. Forgiving is for the most part a gift to ourselves; it also heals our relationships with God. Out of true love comes the ability to forgive, and through God’s grace we are able to let go of pain and into peace.
