A special Sunday, with Special Outfit and special Breakfast and Dinner

You may be wondering why that Sunday is special, why the outfit is special and why the food is special. You may also want to know what Sunday that is. Let me explain.

The Special Sunday

Every year and all over the world, a special Sunday is singled out for a special topic which leads to a special event. For this year, the special Sunday was this past Sunday which is April 29th 2026. Yes, it was special because that was when a special talk was given that will lead to the special event. This Sunday was advertised weeks leading to that Sunday and I was part of those that advertised it using the invite link below which I got from www.jw.org

Who Will Restore The Earth?

This talk was handled all over the earth in our local Kingdom halls and other locations. This topic is timely in view of the deteriorating condition of the earth where death, sickness, anxiety, pain, wars, pestilences and other problems that mankind is facing around the globe and things are still getting out of hand. World rulers are trying their best to restore the earth but it's not been easy for them as they themselves have their personal failings and challenges. It therefore becomes pertinent that the one who is to restore the earth be such one who has the power and the will to do so. The talk answered that it is only the Almighty God Jehovah that can restore this earth because he has the power, he is not plagued by personal challenges and he has everything at his disposal to do so. Nothing can hi dear him. He has assured us that he will do so by sending his beloved son to die on our behalf.

Talking of his son and his death, yes, his death gives a guarantee that the earth will be restored. On Nisan 14 was when he paid the price to rescue us from sin and death which was necessitated by the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve. Each year, Jehovah's witnesses commemorate the death of Christ Jesus on the date that corresponds to the day he died and this year, it falls on April 2nd, 2026 by 6.15 pm. Everyone is invited to attend. Trust Christians are commanded to remember his death at Luke 22:19 of the Holy book.

This day will be very special for us all and we show our appreciation for the provision of that Ransom and try our best to be there. So, that is the reason why that was a special Sunday. My husband happened to be the one that delivered that talk that Sunday and my family was in attendance along with millions of others earth wide and this is in preparation for the upcoming anniversary of Christ's death.

The special outfit

I searched for the special cloth to put on that day and I happened to select the on you see on the picture below. The it is not really that the cloth is special because it's an old cloth and I had won it several times. This cloth and the material or fabric has stood the taste of time. It is over ten years that this outfit was designed for my. One significant thing about it is that it was made here in my current city of residence before my family relocated to my former city of residence and now we are back again and on this special Sunday, I wore it again. Just take a closer look at it, does it look old? I can say 'No' from my own perspective. It is still beautiful and looks gorgeous 😍😍 on me, not so?

To crown it all, the wig that I am wearing on that picture is also an old one that was purchased around the same time that I made the cloth and I brought it out days few days before my daughter's Matriculation for revamping. I cherished these things I wore that special Sunday due to the fact that I didn't spend money again to buy new things. That is why it is good to go for something durable instead of flashy things that doesn't last. Though I had bought things that spoilt after a short time that I bought them but these ones are good choices. In fact, that Sunday was special to me.

The special Food

That Sunday, the family just decided to take something special not because we hadn't eaten it before but because it's always enjoyed by every member of the family each time we ate it. It was pap, milk and fried plantain (ripped and unriped together). We do cherish it. It is one of our favourite.

We didn't have these things at home already. But on Saturday evening while we stepped into our compound, our landlord's mother who lives in the compound sold it to us. Then that morning, we went out and bought the vegetable oil to fry them. Then we also bought the pap and the milk, including the sugar. Each person prepared their own pap as we don't everyone don't want theirs to be small. We bought the pap in 4 wraps and that was how we made it. Then the plantain was also shared to each person but we all ate it together at the same time and the same table sharing the same stories and gists. It was a fun Sunday morning! After the food, we just relaxed and told lots of stories and gists that bonded the family together since our meeting time was 1.30 pm.

For lunch, we boiled white rice and ate with the stew that was prepared that same morning before we ate the papa and plantain. I prepared the stew with fresh and tin tomatoes, curry leaves , crayfish, seasoning cubes, pepper, salt, onions and vegetable oil.

I sliced the fresh tomatoes and perboild a little to soften before blending it in my local matter and pestle. Then I fried it in the vegetable oil that is a little hot after frying my onions. Then, I pounded the crayfish and the curry leave a little and added, then the pepper was dry one which I added. Lastly, I added the seasoning cubes and other ingredients to make a yummy 😋 and irresistible white rice stew that we all enjoyed in the afternoon after that special talk by 3.30 pm.

In conclusion, that was how that special Sunday went by. It was really special and was spent in a special way!
