My Banana Pancakes 🥞, satisfying the family's cravings for it
Pancakes 🥞 is always enjoyed in my family and we always long for it but I don't always have the ingredients to prepare it or will I say that I am not always moved to prepare it. But the truth is that it is expensive when I do compared to buying bread or frying potatoes to take tea or pap. This is because I don't spare any ingredients that will make it both tasty and healthy. My pancakes are usually irresistible that it is not usually enough no matter the quantity I make it in the home. In fact, it's been a while I prepared it last in the family and so, the cravings increased dramatically and I decided to go for it this past Monday.
Ingredients that I used to prepare my fluffy pancakes
5 cups of all purpose flour
5 eggs
4 fingers of ripped banana
One tin of milk
1/4 cup of sugar
Few pieces of fresh pepper
One teaspoon full of Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of vanilla flavour
50 grams of melted butter
Ginger, garlic and tumeric to taste
Water as desired

The above pictures are the few ingredients I remembered to snap. In the first picture, I already added the banana, the milk, the ginger, the garlic, the turmeric and others to the blender. And in the second picture, you can see the pepper and the tin milk. Others were added already.
The steps I took to prepare my fluffy pancakes 🥞
First, I sieved the flour into a bowl, I added the dry ingredients like the sugar, the baking powder, the salt and the vanilla.
In a different bowel, I cracked the egg and added to the blender, then I added the banana, the ginger, garlic and tumeric and blended together before adding it to the sieved flour. I also added the liquid milk and water and stirred continuously to incorporate into the flour. I added the melted butter and stirred properly. Then I checked the thickness and added a little more water. I wanted it to be thick and so the water was just what I needed and so, around 50cl of water was enough for me.
Then when I was sure that everything is ok, I placed a pan on fire, greased it and started shopping the mixture and frying in batches of 3 at a time in that pan. As you can see in the video that I have attached below.
That 6 cups of flour was able to give us 24 pieces of that size of pancake that is in the pictures I have uploaded but guess what? The taste was heavenly. We had a visitor who enjoyed 2 of it, and we were 5 who enjoyed it as a family. My niece joined us to make us 5 and we had it that Monday evening with tea. It was great 👍! We longed for more as Oliver Twist would but it finished within few minutes.

My kids can't stop talking about it and asking me when next we will make it again. The truth remains that it is costly a d to prepare it this way that we all enjoy it takes. I already had flour at home, I had pepper, ginger, garlic and tumeric at home, salt was at home and water and I also had baking powder at home. Take a look at what I bought for it
| Ingredients | price in Naira | prince in steem |
|---|---|---|
| Milk | 700 | 7 |
| Sugar | 500 | 5 |
| Banana | 500 | 5 |
| Butter | 750 | 7.5 |
| Egg | 1000 | 10 |
| Total | 3450 | 34.5 |
You can see that I spent a total of 3,450 Naira Which is the equivalent of 34.5 steem at 100 naira per steem on just pancakes and because I had some ingredients at home, it could have been more. One is trying to economise things these days because of a lot of bills to pay. However, preparing it once in a while is worth it.
For one thing, it increases the cravings and make us enjoy it at maximum satisfaction
Then, it makes us have more value to it
It serves as a treat to the kids whenever it is prepared
It brings the family together the more
I want to start to explore all the things I know to prepare again in this our new apartment. I will be sharing them soon. I love cooking different things at home. I think it's time to keep trying them one after the other. Keep your eyes glued. Hope you enjoyed my fluffy pancakes 🥞? @okere-blessing what can you say about? @bossj23 how you see am? @nsijoro are you feeling it over there?
