Typhoid fever hit me Again Immediately After Meetup

It is just alarming how often I am being hit by this common but deadly Bacteria infection that is caused by Salmonella Typhi that is spread through contaminated food or water. I may not know where mine is coming from but I think I need to be more careful.

I started having the symptoms a week before our Steemit National Meetup. But i thought it was just stress and I needed to rest. After the event on Saturday, I had a little fever that night and started feeling uneasy. But I was able to get myself together until I went back to my city of residence.

The fever increased dramatically and suddenly that I started shivering. Well, every other symptoms came and all at a time that I had to seek for medical attention. I was to wait till Monday morning to be to run test on me but I was given some medication to hold on to. That night to Monday, was something else. I thank God for my husband who acted as my nurse that night, regularly taking me to shower so as to calm the fever and giving me Panadol Extra to help calm the headache. There is this side of my head that aches more than the rest. I thought to myself, could it be BP? Well, I kept praying for the long night to be over.

Monday morning came and I was diagnosed,
my BP was 130/94

Temperature was 37.1

Blood volume was 70%. I was also told that the blood is not thick. It's a bit watery and that I need to build it to be thick. I asked how and I was told.

Malaria was 1+ which is not too bad

Then I waited till evening for the typhoid fever result to be out. When it did come out, I was told that it was very high and that is my major problem.

Then treatment commenced. Injections and drip was administered, I was also given tabs. My drip and injections was to be for 5 good days and today is the fifth day. I am done with them but my tabs will end today too.

But the truth is that, I was still managing to go to school and do one or two things and return to take my continue with my treatment. I am better now but not fully recovered. I know I will soon.

I don't use to be afraid of medications previously but I am at this time. The ones I took really has overwhelmed me. Everything around me smells like medicine.

Sickness can limit our activities, hence, it's good to treat it when we are attacked by it. I am glad that I am getting better and better now.
