SEC-S30W2: Family Bonding Activities

This challenge brought back memories; during my early childhood, my grandparents would call us together, and they would tell us some stories. Some historical things I know today are what I heard from my grandparents during family bonding time.It was fun then until I grew up and understood the importance of bonding with family members. Let me show you how I did mine today with my family.

Describe the chosen activity in details and how it was done

In this game we choose the Ayo game. This game is an accent game that is played on the ground, but presently it is played on a wooden board containing twelve holes, six on each side. It can be played by two or more people. These games need some logical thoughts in order to win against your opponent by collecting their house. There are laid-down rules that guide this game that make it very interesting.

• Making sure to put one seed at a time in each hole.

• The next person takes his turn when the seed lands in an empty hole.

• When the seed completes four, the play carries it, or if it falls in your opponent's house, she will pack.We followed all these rules, and my daughter won by collecting two of my house or hole, as the case may be.

• Who in the family enjoyed this activity the most

My children enjoyed this game the most, because they were learning on the game and were not too familiar with the logic, but luckily for her, she won. My husband, who played with us on the other side, was trying to outsmart us, but I knew the game just like him.

• What are the challenges of getting everyone together to carry it out?

I didn't have the challenge of getting everyone together because we did it after school and when my husband was at home. I knew the perfect time that would benefit everyone; that was while it wasn't challenging at all.

• What are the gains and did it bond your family in a special way?

I really appreciate the organizer of this game; it has impacted more bonds between my husband, my children, and me, unlike other days when I will be glued to my phone without talking to anyone.
In this game today, my children were able to express themselves by reminding me of their turn and knowing when to carry their game.
The argument and laughter made it more fun.This game helped my children to be vigilant and calculative.By playing this game with my children, I have been able to know how smart my children can be in learning; hence, it's their first time.It also helped us to relax our minds after the day's stress.
