SEC-S30W5: Family Bonding Activities"
When we appreciate God in anything he does for us, he will do more. How sweet it is to hold a newborn baby; my heart is filled with joy as I received the news of my younger sister delivering a bouncing baby girl yesterday. I know the struggle and the discomfort that comes with pregnancy, not even when you list expected news from the medical personnel redirecting your mind from what you are preparing for. But you can see how God did it for us in this post.
Which of the activities above did your family engage in for this week and why did your family choose it?
My family chooses Practicing gratitude together.
Mid last week, my younger sister called me and said she is due for delivery, but the doctor said she will give birth through a C-section because of her baby's size. On hearing the doctor's recommendation, her BP rose, and she was thinking about how she would undergo a C-section. I encouraged her to be strong.
Yesterday a call came again from her that the doctor asked her to come, but she is afraid, and she has not arranged her delivery bag. I persuaded her to run now to the hospital as the doctor advised so that the baby will not be affected.
In the next three hours I received another call that she had given birth to a beautiful bouncing baby girl. It was a miracle that comes from God, which no man can do on his or her own. The Almighty answered our prayers; my sister and her baby are alive and healthy. So my children and I rejoiced with her family even though we are not in the same state.
• How was it done? Explain in details
Rubbing powder in most places in Nigeria means a successful delivery of a baby. We used powder to demonstrate our happiness. We sang some songs to show gratitude to God.
• What challenges did your family face carrying out this activity? State the setting and any financial Involvement.
This time is a holiday; everyone is at home to participate in this bonding. We didn't face any challenge; there was no light at this time of the celebration. We had to buy fuel to lighten up the house so that we could get clearer pictures and play our music. Our parlour was the best place for this celebration 🎊.
• What gains or benefits did your family derive from carrying out this activity and who took the most active part in your family
This activity helped us as a family to show our joy and know when to appreciate God. It really is a thing of joy sharing this news together with my family; I personally saw how happy my children are to know they have a baby they have been looking for from their aunty.
From the picture you can see how happy my last baby is because she has been longing to have a baby; she is the one that initiated the idea of holding the wrapper without any baby inside just to show her gratitude. Infact she took the most active part.

The happiness that comes with successful delivery knows no bounds any which way the delivery took place as far as the mother and the baby is sound and in good condition is a thing of Joy and worthy of celebration.
Let me share my little life experience, back then in 2019 when my sister was heavy with her first pregnancy I was always preparing for her successful delivery but something happens that she has passed her due date but she didn't tell me, the ignorance on their part put my sister in early grave she didn't wish and I was left alone battling in the teaching hospital with the little infant, I went through hell but I'm always happy each time I set my eyes on my little niece how she survive oxygen and now a big girl 😍🥰.
My beloved sister, anyhow you want to celebrate,pls do my heart self is overwhelming with joy down here seeing a bundle of joy that God has blessed your family with this season.

What a long episode of feedback. It's a disheartening thing when we lost a woman through delivery. Sometimes these occurrences shows how mighty God is. I pray that no woman die from giving birth. Thank God for serving your niece 🙏.
