Hi everyone, Today's Sunday service in Living Faith Church in Uyo was filled with so many blessings and joy. I learned so much in today's sermon, and I would like to share it here. I went quite early to church this morning, and when I went, the church had not yet begun, so I waited till the commencement of the service. In a short while the pastor opened the service through prayers, and then after that the choir sang praises and worship, the announcement was read, the offering was collected, and the choir ministered. After the administration, the pastor, Anthony Otono, began to preach.

In his sermon he taught about how praise facilitates fulfillment of prophecies; our text was taken from Romans 4:17-22, Philippians 4:7, Luke 1:45, and 2 Samuel 6:14. He then began preaching by saying that when you open a Bible to read, we should not read the whole word, but we should find a specific word of God that builds our faith. He further said that prophecies are not predictions, but there are definitions of the future because God does not predict the future; he defines it.

With these few points, he told us what prophecies mean.

  • I learned that prophecies are divine plans ordained by God to be fulfilled in the life of whoever believes.

  • God speaks according to his power, not by our intentions.

  • Every prophetic word received and believed engenders peace within; the higher thing you need after life and money is peace.

I also learned how praise facilitates fulfillment of prophecies with these few points.

  • I learn that praise infuses strength into your body to do exploits. Dan 11:32

  • I learned that when we give God high praises, we experience a higher dimension of favor.

  • I also learned that praise provokes divine presence that secures supernatural change of story. And the sermon was closed with these words: "The journey might look too tough for you, but at the end you will smile."

After the sermon we all sang quality praises to God as instructed by the pastor, and then the pastor blessed us and we shared the grace.

Thank You
