SteemHop can change feelings into fun

Friends I was boring today and then SteemHop came in my mind. So I again played SteemHop game. I was not planning to play long just few minutes only. But when I start I kept playing again and again. This game really holds my attention. When I opened the game, first I looked at screen for some seconds. Everything is simple. No heavy graphics. No complicated options. That is why I like it. It does not confuse me.

Then I started playing. My character started moving with directions. Roads were busy. Cars moving fast. Trains coming suddenly. First round I lost very quickly. I pressed at wrong time. Game over. For a second I felt like okay maybe not my day. But then I pressed start again. Second time I did little better. Crossed few roads safely. But then train came and I miscalculated. Again lost.

But the interesting thing is I did not feel angry. I actually felt more interested. I wanted to go little further than before. That small target inside mind makes this game addictive in good way. While playing I noticed something. When I rush, I lose. When I wait and watch carefully, I survive longer. So I started waiting one second more before crossing tracks. This small change helped me.

One moment was very intense. Train was coming very close. I thought I am finished. But I moved at right time and crossed safely. That moment gave me real thrill. My heart was beating fast. I even smiled alone. I failed many times today. Honestly many times. But every time I restarted without thinking too much. That is the beauty of this game. Losing does not feel heavy. It feels normal.

I also like that this game is connected with rewards. I am not just playing for nothing. Points matter, Progress matters. Even if reward comes later, still I feel my effort has value. After some rounds I checked my score. It was not very high. But better than first attempt. That made me happy. Small improvement is still improvement. I did not focus much on leaderboard today. I know my name is not there yet. But that is okay. Every big player was once beginner. I am also learning slowly. The game runs smooth on my mobile. No lag, ontrols are simple. Anyone can understand in few minutes. But mastering it is not easy. That makes it balanced.

Emotionally, today’s session was fun. Little stress, little excitement, little disappointment and little pride. All mixed together. That is why I enjoyed it. I closed this game with satisfaction. I am not in top player but I enjoyed honestly. And for me, that is more important than rank.
