Try, try and try again until success: My Steem Pong Game

When I first start Steem Pong game I thought is ordinary game. I only felt it looks simple. Two paddles, one ball, nothing special. But when I started playing, I understood this game is not that easy. It needs focus, timing and a lot of patience. My main target from the start was clear. I wanted to make 800 score. I said this to myself quietly, like a small promise.
My first attempt was very normal. I was excited, fingers little fast, eyes moving here and there. The ball was moving quick and my paddle was missing many times. My mind rushed and I lost early. Score was not good. I felt little sad but not angry. I said, ok this is just first try. Every game need learning.

Second attempt was better than first. I was more calm. I tried to understand ball speed. Sometimes it slow, sometimes fast. Still, I made mistakes. One wrong move and game over. My score improved but still far from 800. I felt small disappointment. But inside me, one thing was strong. I was enjoying the game. That feeling was important.
Third attempt was emotional for me. I thought this time I will do it. I played carefully. I controlled my hands. I was close to my target but then suddenly I lost focus for few seconds. Ball passed and game over. This thing hurt me little. Then I remembered one line I always believe in. Try, try and try again until success . This line gave me energy. I decided to play again. Fourth attempt.

In the fourth attempt, I was different. I was not rushing. I was not scared of losing. I was just playing. I followed the ball with my eyes. I moved paddle smoothly. Each hit gave me confidence. Score was increasing slowly. When I crossed 400, my heart beat fast. When I crossed 600, I smiled. I told myself, don’t panic now.
When I reached 790 score my heart beat increased. I set my focus and keep playing. Finally I got my target of 800 score. Suddenly ball became very fast and passed my paddle. Game over. That moment not hurt me. I sat quiet for some time. I was happy because I get my target after keep trying. I felt like game is testing my patience not my skills only. It was not just about score. It was about not giving up. I felt proud of myself. No one was clapping, no one was watching but inside me there was happiness. Pure happiness.

Steem Pong is not a simple game for me now. It taught me something small but powerful. Success not come with first try always. Sometime we fail once, twice and three times. But if we keep trying and learning from mistakes one day we reach our goal.

I also liked how the game keeps me alert. Even one second of distraction can end everything. This is same like real life. If I lose focus, I lose chances. The game improved my concentration. It also taught me control. Fast hands are useless without calm mind.
I will play Steem Pong again for sure. Next time my target will be higher. Maybe I will fail again. But now I know, failure is not end. It is part of the game. This experience was simple, emotional and motivating for me. I am happy I did not quit. I am happy I tried again. And yes, I truly believe now more than ever:
