FAMILY - A TREASURE TO BEHOLD

I've never wished for a better family of relatives and friends than the one I have.

Family is like the ultimate squad. They are the group of people that have seen you at your worst and best, and still choose to stick around. They're the ones who've got your back, even when the rest of the world is like "nah, fam".😂(had enough of you)

Growing up up as a kid, family has been my world , I learnt the right and the wrong, which I teach the younger ones too.
They've shown me love, which I reciprocate,and they've shaped me to a person I'm becoming. And as I'm getting older, I've started to realize that they're not perfect , but they're doing their best with what they've got.

Sometimes, we get pissed when family's decisions feel like they're overriding our personal autonomy or dreams.
Like, I'm grown, I've got my own thoughts, but they're still calling the shots. Ogbeni as how na😂
It could be career choice, marriage, Lifestyle ( with my hard-earned money oo😂) , or even residency.
But just just bear in mind that you're so much loved that they don't want to see you make mistakes.
Sometimes it's about feeling unheard or misunderstood. Family supports, they do not dictate.

Family can be blood-related or just the people you choose to roll with. In today's world, people are quick to call a random fellow "family" . Be careful 😂😂.
Either way, it's about the vibe , that sense of belonging, support, and unconditional love. People who know your weird quirks, your deep secrets, and your fave food (mine's Afang soup, btw 😋).

In Nigeria, family is a big deal . Extended family, village gatherings, and all that jazz. It's beautiful how everyone comes together for celebrations, weddings, or just to catch up.

Ours is not always left behind.
Just like we would say in our dialect " Ndung Sunday Andrew Essien isi dagha edem"
If you don't know the meaning, look for your Ibibio friend or Anang friend to be precise and ask for the meaning.
