In this week's episode of this Contest "show your skill talent time", I decided to replicate an image of a girl holding a toy gun.

Tools

2B pencil eraser and a note....

Steps

Okay, unlike in my last post which I started my sketches with the hand, here, I decided to do it properly for those that wants to learn.
So the first step is to draw a proportion of the head, looking from the reference Image. If it's a freestyle art, then that's a lesson for another day.

Moving on, I added the the sketch of her hand holding the gun. I did the sketch lightly which gave me chance to erase mistakes.
That's why it's good to sketch lightly.

Now, I drew lines vertically and horizontally through the face to guide me when drawing the eyes , nose and mouth.
The horizontal lines helps me to know where to place each facial features. Same as the vertical line.

After sketching out the features, lightly. When I was sure there were no mistakes, I made the sketches bold and erased the horizontal and vertical line.

I shaded the eyes, just one side first , when it was looking kiki I was going to make a mistake with it, I started shading the hair instead.
And when I was fine with the hair, I shaded the eyes, nose mouth and the face in general.
I erased places that were extremely deep, and bended the face with the cotton bud.

After that, It shaded the gun and the clothing, observing the light and dark areas of the image .

This is my final result.
Clean isn't it?😊😁
