"SEC-S30W5: Family Bonding Activities"

In my family, we give gratitude to God Almighty for my sister that put to bed. Gratitude was what we practiced on Sunday.

My elder sister gave birth to a baby boy last week, and on Sunday, there was the naming ceremony of the baby boy. It is a great day for everyone who attended the naming ceremony. The ceremony gathered people from my mother's side, her husband's side, friends, and neighbours who were around.

The ceremony was all about naming the children, which took place early in the morning of the day, we started by arranging chairs, while some people were busy outside cooking and making sure that people who would attend would have something to eat.

While all of that was going on, I was inside the room playing with the baby when her mother came and took her so she could be bathed and dressed for the naming.

During the challenge, we faced the challenges of renting chairs, hiring a DJ, and running out of food. As we were sharing food we started seeing people coming to collect food, and we tried as much as possible to attend to them all. Her husband had to go and buy drinks with biscuits for them which affected his finances.

I gained a lot from the ceremony. At least I witnessed the naming and thanksgiving of my sister's child, I was given food, and my family is all happy for having a newborn baby in the family. My family are ll grateful to God Almighty for the gift of the baby boy.
