SLC31-W1: Shop & Share Challenge - Visit a Small Local Shop

I visited Madam Eunice Store which is located at Jikwoyi, Abuja, Phase 2 area and it is very close to where my Aunty shop is and it is located in a strategic position where people can easily come out of their house and buy something from the shop and return home.

Tell us why you chose that shop

I chose this store because it's closer to my house and even my aunt's shop which is a shop that I pass through every day.

The main reason why I chose the shop is that in my area it is the only shop that sells things at a lower price compared to other shops around. The shop owner is a friendly person which is the reason why in my picture you can see her son standing behind me very happy.

The price of the item you purchased from the shop

I bought two eggs and two Indomie.

I spent a total of ₦1,400 which is equal to 17.4 STEEM at the time of writing this at the place. If it were to be at another place like a supermarket or a big shop I would have spent more money because of the price difference.

Your shopping experience.

I had a good experience shopping at the place, where I was highly welcomed as a customer to the shop. The small boy that I met at the shop selling for his mother couldn't take his eye off my phone which even though I wanted to take a selfie he wanted me to include him.

I was quickly attended to at the shop which is what almost everyone who want into a shop desires. There was no delay and I paid with cash which makes everything faster for me.

What do you think the shop or store owner needs to do to expand his or her business and tell us if the business is lagging in patronage.

I think the shop owner needs to save up money for expansion like renting a more conducive place that is big enough to accommodate goods because currently items are stocked inside the shop without being properly arranged due to how small the shop is.

The shop needs to be well arranged so it can attract rich customers and increases it price of its items. Business is all about growth and expansion which the shop owner needs to do more to improve the shop.
