  • ‎250g butter
  • ‎ 1 cup of icing sugar
  • ‎ 1 egg yolk
  • ‎ 2 tbsp milk
  • ‎ 2 ½ cups flour
  • ‎ ½ cup corn flour
  • ‎ 1 tsp vanilla flavor
  • ‎Pinch of salt
Method of Preparation
  • I creamed the butter and icing sugar together. Then I add the egg yolk, milk, and vanilla flavor and set aside. In another bowl I mixed the flour, cornflour, and salt. I added the dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  • On a lightly floured board, I rolled out the soft dough. Then I shaped the dough using a cookie cutter. I greased and sprinkled a little bit of flour on the baking tray, then I placed the neatly cut dough on the baking tray.

I baked the dough for about 15–20 minutes in a preheated oven (at a medium heat). At this point I was just staring at the remaining icing sugar, then an idea hit my head: if someone can invent a cookie recipe and shortbread, then why can't I invent mine? So I went to work using this recipe.
‎Ingredients

  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp CMC
  • tbsp dissolved gelatine
  • 2–3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavor
  • Food color (green)
  • Mixed sprinkles
Method of Preparation
  • I sift the icing sugar into a bowl. Add the CMC and mix well. I added the dissolved gelatine. Then I added water little by little until I got a smooth icing consistency, after which I added the vanilla flavor and mixed it properly.

  • At this point I decided to make it look more colorful, so I added the green food color and stirred evenly. I spread the icing onto the cooled biscuits. Then I sprinkled the icing with mixed sprinkles before the icing sets.

  • I allowed it to dry completely, then I got this beautiful and tasty snack.
