Some snow photography i did around my house.

I love photography; it is my hobby and something I enjoy more than anything else. Unfortunately, I do not own a high-resolution camera, but I still try my best to capture moments using my mobile phone. Living in one of the most beautiful places in the world—Kashmir—makes this passion even more special, as everything here is naturally photogenic and picturesque. Almost every corner offers an opportunity to capture stunning landscapes.

Lately, however, it has become difficult for me to pursue this hobby the way I used to. I am engaged in official work and employed in the Rural Development Department, a department meant to uplift rural areas and help alleviate poverty. Our work is not limited to office hours; even after working hours, people often call us to inquire about different schemes. Many times, official tasks extend late into the day, making it difficult to travel far or visit remote locations where accessibility to the office might become an issue. Being constantly available for the people has, in a way, made it harder for me to devote time to photography.

Still, I remain hopeful that I will be able to do justice to my professional responsibilities while also finding time for my hobbies and personal life. Today, I got a wonderful opportunity to take some photographs right around my home. Snow has covered the entire valley, turning it into a true winter wonderland. Every corner offers a breathtaking view waiting to be captured. With the sun shining brightly, the landscape looks even more incredible, as sunlight reflects off the fresh snow, making everything sparkle like diamonds a day after the snowfall.

Nature has truly blessed us by offering a clear, sunny day with no clouds in the sky and a slight rise in temperature, making life a bit easier. People are out enjoying the snow, and children are searching for slopes where they can slide over the slippery surface. Stuck vehicles are being freed as snow is cleared away—another task awaiting me, as my own car is completely buried in snow and will take three to four hours to make roadworthy again.

Despite all this, I managed to capture some photographs to share with my friends who have never witnessed snow in their lives. Through these images, they can see how snow transforms the land and how beautiful it looks. I often come across comments from colleagues saying they have never seen snow, and for them, these photographs become a small opportunity to experience it. Through my photographs, I try to bring a glimpse of this winter wonderland to them. Thank you.
