SLC31-W6 | THE GREEN JOURNEY | Sustainable Legacy.

I visited a community school field in a village and found a lot of eco-friendly elements in the school premises. Also, I met people gathering at the place, who were all there for political reasons.

Before I begin by sharing with you my activities, awareness, feelings, and the 5 eco-friendly elements I came across in the school field and environment I will begin by sharing the address with you. This place as seen in the video is located in a community called Akpata community which is surrounded by trees and greenery.

The school is a community school owned by the state government and the opening hours are usually 7 am to 2 pm on working days which at the time I visited had already closed for the day.

My activity at the place was to calm down my nerves and meditate on my life because it is a lonely place that is filled with nature, a place where one can easily get their energy effectively. Also, my activity at the place was to watch the ball on the field after relaxing.

As for my awareness, I noticed that the school environment has turned into a political and social gathering due to the large environment of the school and I noticed whenever there are such gatherings in the school it is usually easy to find reusable items. So far so good my feelings at the place were cool and awesome as I was able to relax my muscles, and my mind.

Plants or trees

There are a lot of plants and also trees in the place and mango trees, and palm trees are the common plants and trees available in the place. Also, there are flowers planted both in and outside the school compound.

Reusable items

There are a lot of reusable items at the place where I was able to capture plastic bottles. These plastic bottles are dumped by people who used them which children usually pick and sell to those who are selling konu, zobu, and other local drinks, and also there it can be reused by companies.

Natural surroundings

Like I earlier said the surroundings are greenish, fresh-looking, and cold especially the field side of the school. The grass is green including the trees and the surrounding is big.

Sustainable activities

The sustainable activities of the school are learning, gathering of political and social activities, and also playing games such as football, and volleyball.

Eco-friendly products

The eco-friendly products found in the place include reusable stainless steel water bottles, organic cotton tote bags, toothbrushes, biodegradable cleaning concentrates, and several others.
