Today I have arrived at the Pagla Boat Terminal of the Buriganga River, known as the lifeblood of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The Buriganga River is usually one of the calm rivers, but during the monsoon, this calm river does not take long to become turbulent. Today, I will review the famous Buriganga River from the Pagla Boat Terminal and set a pin on the Steem-Atlas map.

Calm Buriganga River
The Pagla Boat Terminal is one of the busiest terminals. On one side is the Pagla Industrial Area, and on the other side is the New Pan Gaon Terminal, where there is a touch of rural life. The famous Buriganga River connects two different places on both sides. The history of the Buriganga River is rich in tradition. It is said that in ancient times, big cities used to be built on the banks of the river. Like them, the traditional city of Dhaka, which is today the capital of Bangladesh, has also been built on the banks of the Buriganga River.

The Buriganga River plays a big role in the country's economy. Hundreds of boats, launches, and steamers run from one end of the country to the other every day through this river. Thousands of passengers are on the launch or steamer. They can easily reach from one end to the other at a low cost. In addition, sending necessary goods by water is very easy and convenient. So every day, countless cargoes carrying heavy goods are transported through this river.

Moreover, this river has brought together people living on both sides of the river. This Buriganga River has combined everything from culture, literature, and jobs of people on both sides into one thread. That is why countless people travel through this terminal every day. They cross the river fearlessly in small boats and reach their respective destinations.

I am in the pagla boat terminal

To cross the river, you have to stop at two terminals on both sides of the river. You have to deposit the fixed fare of the boat at the terminal and board the boat. The fare is also very low. To cross such a large river, you have to spend 5 taka or 0.625 steam.
It is very easy to go to the Pagla Boat Terminal. It takes two minutes from the Pagla Bus Stand to the terminal. There are people designated by the terminal authority at the terminal. They allow you to enter after paying a certain price, and then you have to enter the terminal through a staircase. The terminal is not big; there is a platoon in the terminal. There are several boats on the side. These boats cross the Buriganga.

Boats are in the terminal

The boatmen are very skilled. Big launches or steamers ply the Buriganga River. And it is continuous; they cross the small boats through it with skill. Passengers also cross the river fearlessly due to the skill of the boatmen.

Pagla boat terminal counter

Despite being such an important terminal, the Pagla Boat Terminal is not very clean; the effect of cleanliness can be seen on the surface of the terminal. However, the scenic view of the river removes all the shortcomings and cools the mind. If the cold wind blows from it, the mind is refreshed. The mind returns to an unshakable peace.
