Documentation of the Monthly Religious Study Session with Abi Glee Madat - August 8, 2026

Once every 30 days, the Madinatuddiniyyah Babul Huda Glee Madat Islamic boarding school holds a religious study session led by the school’s head, Abi Nazaruddin. These sessions have been taking place for several years now and, Alhamdulillah, have been running smoothly, so this activity deserves to be continued and maintained.

This study session is one of the opportunities for students to gain knowledge directly from Abi, the head of the dayah, who teaches a book on Sufism titled Ta’lim Muta’alim. Previously, the study session had completed the book Taisurul Khallaq, which also teaches etiquette and manners.

Knowledge is very important, but learning about etiquette is far more important. Especially since we know that knowledge in this day and age is very easy to obtain as long as one is willing and eager to learn; unfortunately, however, etiquette cannot be acquired so easily—it certainly requires in-depth instruction.

Through the study of texts that teach etiquette, the students’ inner selves will be guided to become a generation of noble character. A generation that brings pride to their parents and their country must possess well-developed manners and etiquette. There is no point in being intelligent without good manners.
