Dear Steemit Team,
Entering the fifth week, participants will learn how to take advantage of the golden hour, silhouettes, and sky colors to produce beautiful beach photos and dramatic waterscapes. By utilizing the morning and evening light, participants will be able to capture soft sky colors and beautiful contrasts, which are perfect for creating atmosphere and visual stories. Therefore, participants will also be trained to capture the best moments of light to make their photos look more vivid and artistic.

Week 5 Learning Materials

In this material, participants must understand several things when taking photos in this fifth week, including Golden Hour, Silhouettes, Sky Colors, and Water Area Composition.

1. Golden Hour
First, participants should know that the golden hour is the best time to photograph beaches and the sea. This time is usually 30-60 minutes after sunrise and before sunset. At this time, the sunlight feels warm, the shadows are softer, and the colors of the sky appear richer. Make sure your photos are not noisy and use this moment to produce photos with a calm and natural feel.

2. Silhouette
A silhouette is usually created when an object is in front of a light source, so that the object appears dark while the sky appears bright. This technique is ideal for photographing people, boats, piers, coastal trees, and other objects. Silhouettes are very helpful in creating a story and giving a dramatic impression without having to show the full details of the object.

3. Sky Color
At beaches or reservoirs, you will often find beautiful changes in sky color, ranging from blue to orange to purplish red. Therefore, participants are encouraged to pay attention to these color changes and adjust their exposure so that the sky color remains natural. Avoid excessive filters so that the original atmosphere of the location remains intact.

4. Composition of Water Areas
Use the coastline, waves, and reservoir edges as leading lines to direct the viewer's eye toward the sun or the main object. Add foreground elements such as sand, rocks, or piers to give the photo depth.
