SLC31-W4 | THE GREEN JOURNEY | Earthing and the Elements
𝓐𝓼𝓼𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓶𝓾𝓪𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓴𝓾𝓶 𝔀𝓻. 𝔀𝓫
Hi, everyone!!! How are you all doing? I hope you’re all doing well and that the Almighty continues to bless you with good health. Alhamdulillah, today I’m still in good health and excited to say hello to all of you.
Whenever I feel bored or tired, the beach is the place I go to. This morning, when I woke up, I was ready to head to the beach with a friend—in fact, my friend had already invited me yesterday. We left after performing the dawn prayer. My first stop at the beach was to enjoy the beauty of the sunrise in the east. Those moments offered a sense of tranquility, far from the crowds, creating a comfortable atmosphere that calmed my mind.
When I arrived at the beach, I took off my sandals and walked barefoot along the shoreline. The sand felt incredibly soft under my feet, especially when it got wet from the seawater. Having my bare feet in direct contact with the sand or soil made me feel very close to nature.

When I’m at the beach and along the shoreline—including the small gardens by the water—I feel the elements of nature there. Among the elements I sense is the earth: the sand on the beach, the soil beneath the trees, and the plants along the seashore. Shady trees that release fresh air are also found not far from the beach. Among the other elements besides earth is the water of the ocean waves, which ceaselessly move slowly but surely, emitting a natural sound that is far more soothing. They continue to lap against our feet as we walk, washing away the fatigue from our daily activities.
Not only that, but the fresh oxygen released by the trees in the morning, combined with the cool sea breeze, makes your mind feel as though it’s been reset and refreshed. I chose to sit on a branch near the waves to enjoy the view of the sea, framed by the beauty of the sky at sunrise.
The sun’s rays are another element, alongside earth, water, and air. When the sun rises, the sky turns golden, and the same happens as the sun sets. The moment of sunrise on the beach feels incredibly relaxing, and I can’t help but feel grateful to be able to experience such breathtaking natural beauty firsthand.
After spending some time by the shore, I moved over to a small hut near the beach. The hut is where people go to enjoy food and drinks when they visit. Since it was still quiet today, I was able to enjoy it all by myself. There, I also took a moment to relax and take in the view a little further back from the waves. Soon after, I headed under a tree and found a spot at the base of a large tree where I could sit and unwind.
I climbed a tree that wasn’t too tall, where I sat back and relaxed while gazing at the beautiful sky. Experiences like this are very simple, but it’s precisely moments like these that make me realize that nature naturally provides peace—you don’t have to go to luxurious, expensive places. Walking along the shoreline, feeling the sand directly on my bare feet, enjoying the breeze and the sunrise, calms my mind and makes my body feel incredibly relaxed.
We can consider connecting with nature to be one of the best ways to reduce stress and foster a sense of gratitude for life. We will come to realize that nature offers us peace at all times—for those of us willing to take the time to enjoy it. May people always take care of nature so that it remains peaceful and free from air pollution in our environment.
Here is a video showing me enjoying the atmosphere there.
