How I Created a Church Signboard Using a Cardboard Stencil
Today, I show the process I followed to design a signpost for The Assembly of God Nigeria using a cardboard stencil. The work started with designing the text and layout on my laptop. This helped me arrange the words properly and gave me a clear idea of how the final signpost would look.
After completing the design, I went to the site and used a measuring tape to measure the signpost. This was necessary to ensure that the design would fit the available space correctly. I then transferred the measurements to cardboard paper and used a ruler to draw straight lines and maintain proper alignment.
The next stage was carving out the letters and shapes from the cardboard. I carefully used a razor blade to cut along the marked lines and create a stencil. This part required patience and attention to detail to ensure that the letters came out neat and accurate.
When the stencil was ready, I placed it on the signpost and used car paint to transfer the design. I applied the paint carefully so that the letters would be clear and easy to read. After removing the stencil, the finished design appeared neatly on the signpost.
This project shows that with simple tools such as a laptop, measuring tape, ruler, razor blade, cardboard paper, and car paint, it is possible to create a clean and professional-looking signpost. The video captures each stage of the work, from the design process to the final result.
